About the Role

My client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Venafi Consultant to support and enhance their security architecture within a highly regulated environment. This is a daily rate contract position offering remote working with occasional office visits. 6 month initial contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the integration, configuration, and ongoing management of the Venafi platform across enterprise environments

• Collaborate closely with security and infrastructure teams to deliver certificate lifecycle management solutions

• Provide technical expertise in certificate automation, encryption, and security compliance

• Work with stakeholders to define and implement PKI strategies aligned with business requirements

• Improve processes for certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation

• Ensure best practices in key management and secure communications across platforms

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to digital certificates and encryption technologies

• Produce documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Security, with a strong focus on digital certificates and PKI

• Proven hands-on experience with the Venafi platform in an enterprise environment

• Strong understanding of security standards and compliance frameworks

• Experience working in highly regulated environments, ideally within financial services

Desirable Skills

• Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell, Python) for automation

• Knowledge of cloud security, particularly AWS and Azure

• Experience with TLS/SSL certificate lifecycle management and associated risk controls

• Understanding of HSM integration and secure key storage

Education

• Third-level degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline
